L'EYE-T

André Abdelmalek

Inspired by the Space-Age design movement of the mid 20th century, L'EYE-T is a 3D-printed lamp made with clear PLA and aluminum. It can be enjoyed as an ambient or focus light thanks to it's opening and closing mechanism and is called so as when opened, it resembles an eye. L'EYE-T prides itself in being fully recyclable through it's materials and it's 'design for disassembly' construction. Relying solely on friction, it's mechanism is designed to perfectly glide and fit into each other without using additional hardware. Since L'EYE-T can be used as both a focus light or ambient light, it makes the product last longer in households and avoid landfills through versatility as it can be adapted to the users need rather than be a single use product.
